An Elegant Transformation – Before and After
By Nancy November 14th, 2014
This challenging space is one of our favorite projects that we’ve ever worked on! This odd-shaped room was once a closet/dressing room and was re-purposed to be a multi-purpose home office/craft/reading/relaxing space for our client…in other words, a “chick cave”! A few new furnishings were mixed in with pieces she already had… a beat up chaise lounge in the basement storage area was recovered in plush apple green velvet, an existing antique writing desk pairs beautifully with a new modern white leather desk chair, and the matching adjustable-height stool works beautifully at the craft table which was originally used in the garage to build a kayak upon. A fresh coat of paint, new light fixtures, fabulously fun window treatment fabric and personal treasures on display have turned this awkward space into a lovely retreat!
